I promised I’ll post something special for you guys today, so I’m giving you my first tutorial! <3
This is my tutorial for this poster:

1. Open Adobe Photoshop. File > New. Follow the details below

2. Double click the Foreground color. A new dialog box will appear. Set the color to #823636

3. Click the paint bucket tool or press “G” in your keyboard, then click anywhere in your document to fill it

So your document should look like this..

4. Click the Text Tool or press “T” in your keyboard. Go to Window > Character and this dialog box should appear.

Set the Font family to “Helvetica Neue”, the font style to “Bold”, font size to 121.98pt and the letter spacing to -120
5. Still with your text tool, click and drag in your document to create a text box and type in the first line. See image below.

6. Repeat the process until you typed in all the words. And so it should look like this, also check the layers in the right side

Set the color of “May the”, “Be ever” and “In your” texts to #FFFFFF and the “Odds” and “Favor” to #ffa44b
7. Select all the layers, click Ctrl+T and rotate it to -15 degrees.

8. Import this texture to your document and drag it on top of all your layers. Set the blending mode to Multiply

9. Import another texture, this time the “wallpaper old texture” then drag it again on top of all the layers. Set the blending mode to Linear Burn

10. Click the Adjustments icon below the layers panel and click Gradient.

This dialog box will appear. Just copy my settings below :)
Drag this layer on top of all the layers again. Set the blending mode of this gradient layer to “Soft Light” and the Opacity to 50%

11. Import another texture. Drag it on top of all the layers. Set the blending mode to Multiply.

12. Click the Adjustments icon again, this time click “Curves”. Then just copy my settings as well :P

So your layers should look like this:

AND VIOLA! You have your finished typographic poster!

You can still tweak the settings if you like, but I hope you get the idea. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask me! :)
